Enhanced Gut Health (Microbiome) test

Summary:

This test is an advanced gut health test, to help you understand in detail your current gut health: digestion and absorption effectiveness, inflammation and immunology, metabolic health and the population of microbes present in your gut. It will help you to understand a high degree of detail about your current gut health, and where to make specific targeted interventions to improve it. The test will provide you with a scoring and understanding of these five key areas: maldigestion, inflammation, dysbiosis (this is the level of imbalance of your gut bacteria - linked with disease), metabolic imbalance, and infection.

As well as a detailed view of your gastrointestinal health via your digestion and absorption, inflammation and immunology, and metabolic health biomarkers, it will also provide you with an understanding of the types and levels of bacteria, yeast, fungi, parasites that populate your gut.

You will be able to understand how your results (for the areas listed above) compare against a healthy cohort. This not only provides an understanding of how good your current gut health is, but also an understanding of what interventions can be made to improve it. After the follow on consultation, we can help design interventions for you and adjust your support programme so you can make improvements. And, if/where you need additional one-to-one support beyond your enhanced support provision, we can provide that too.

What's included?

• The test itself, delivery of the test kit, return of it, a summary of results (with scoring across the five key areas mentioned above).
• The test also includes a follow up consultation to discuss the results. Your individual programme with us can then be adjusted (if/where necessary), to suit improving your gut health.
